Trust in Allah
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 2722

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure.

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fu'jati niqmatik, wa jami'i sukhdik

Virtues & Benefits

This dua directly addresses the fear of losing what Allah has bestowed. By seeking refuge in Allah from the loss of blessings and the suddenness of His punishment, we are reminded that true security lies only with Him. It helps shift our focus from the material loss to seeking Allah's eternal protection and pleasure, fostering patience and trust (tawakkul) in His decree, even when it seems difficult to understand. It cultivates resilience by anchoring our hope in the One who is everlasting, rather than in fleeting worldly gains.
