Dua for Trusting Allah's Justice When Facing Betrayal

Trust in Allah
Sahih HadithSahih al-Bukhari 425

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.

Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel

When to Read

This powerful statement is uttered by the Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was cast into the fire, and by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companions when facing overwhelming opposition and betrayal. Recite it with conviction when you feel wronged, betrayed, or overwhelmed by the plots of others. It's a declaration of your ultimate reliance on Allah's plan and justice, especially when human support seems scarce and the situation appears dire.

How to Read

Recite this statement with a sincere heart, truly believing in its meaning. Focus on the power and wisdom of Allah as the ultimate disposer of all affairs. Understand that when you entrust your matters to Him, He will manage them in the best possible way, even if the outcome isn't immediately apparent. It's not just a phrase but an active state of reliance (tawakkul).

Virtues & Benefits

This statement signifies complete reliance on Allah. When the companions of the Prophet ﷺ faced the great army at Badr, and some men said, 'The people are gathering against you, so fear them,' Allah revealed the ayah 'So they returned with favor from Allah and much grace, no harm touching them' (Quran 3:174). The Prophet ﷺ then told them: 'Verily, the people have gathered against you, so fear them.' But it only increased them in faith, and they said: 'Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 4563). This shows that uttering this phrase with faith strengthens belief and brings Allah's support and protection against those who seek to harm you.
