Source & Authentication
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to visit some of his family members and lick his hand (when the patient was suffering from a fever) and say: 'Bismillahi, turbatu ardina, biriqi ba'dina, shifa'u saqeemina, bi'idhni rabbina.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 5747). Another narration mentions the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: 'When one of you visits a sick person, he should supplicate for him to recover four times, and say: 'O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the suffering, heal it (as you are the Healer), and there is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves behind no disease.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 5675)
