O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is inevitable, and Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to anyone from Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the remover of my worries.
Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatika, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka. As'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitābika, aw asta'tharta bihi fi 'ilm-il-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.

Virtues & Benefits
This dua is a cornerstone for strengthening Tawakkul (reliance on Allah). It centers the heart by acknowledging Allah's absolute power and knowledge, thereby alleviating the burden of worry. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to his companions when they asked him for something beneficial to say during times of distress. By making the Qur'an the 'springtime of the heart,' it promises spiritual renewal and emotional healing, transforming sadness into peace. It directly addresses the pain of loss and the anxieties that accompany it, offering a spiritual remedy through the words of Allah.
Source & Authentication
The Hadith mentions that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to teach his companions these words when they were distressed. This particular version is attributed to Musnad Ahmad, and while it's classified as Hasan, the essence of seeking refuge in Allah and His perfect names and attributes is deeply rooted in authentic narrations concerning du'a and dealing with hardship. The emphasis is on acknowledging Allah's dominion over one's life ('My forelock is in Your hand') and His justice in His decrees ('Your decision concerning me is just'), which are foundational principles for building trust in Allah.
