Trust in Allah
Sahih HadithSahih al-Bukhari 429

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.

Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel

When to Read

Recite this powerful declaration when you feel overwhelmed by unfairness, when people's words or actions sting, or when you face a situation where you feel powerless. It's a reminder that our ultimate reliance is not on people, but on the One who controls all affairs.

How to Read

Recite it with sincerity and conviction, truly believing in its meaning. Picture in your mind that your affairs are being placed into Allah's capable hands. Take a moment to breathe deeply and let the meaning settle in your heart. It can be recited once, or repeated as needed for comfort and strength.

Virtues & Benefits

This phrase was famously uttered by Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was thrown into the fire, and by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companions when they faced immense opposition and threats. Allah Ta'ala revealed the ayah: '…and they returned with grace and favor from Allah. No harm had touched them…' (Quran 3:174), highlighting the protection that comes with placing complete trust in Him. Reciting this affirms Tawakkul (reliance on Allah), which is a cornerstone of faith, bringing peace and averting harm.

Source & Authentication

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: 'Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best Disposer of affairs.' Ibrahim (peace be upon him) said it when he was thrown into the fire, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) said it when they said, 'A great gathering of people is coming against you.' So fear them. But it increased them only in faith and they said, 'Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best Disposer of affairs.' (Quran 3:173).
