O Allah, protect my husband/wife from devils and evil, and place him/her within Your impenetrable fortress. Place a guarded screen between me and him/her, and make him/her happy in this world and the Hereafter.
When to Read
You can recite this dua anytime you feel concerned about your spouse's well-being, especially if you sense negative influences around them, or if you hear of gossip that could harm their reputation or peace. It's a beautiful practice to make this a regular part of your supplications, perhaps after every prayer or at dawn.
How to Read
Recite with sincerity and a clear intention for your spouse's protection. Raise your hands in supplication if possible, facing the Qiblah, and with full conviction in Allah's power to protect. You can place your hand over your heart while making dua for your spouse, or gently touch their head or shoulder if they are present.
Virtues & Benefits
Making sincere dua for your spouse strengthens your bond and reflects the importance of mutual support in marriage as encouraged in Islam. Allah (SWT) says: > **Arabic:** وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ > **Translation:** "And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained." (Surah At-Tur 52:21). Asking Allah to protect your spouse from negative influences and gossip is a way of fulfilling your responsibility towards them, ensuring their spiritual and emotional well-being is safeguarded.
