بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ

Barakallahu laka, wa baraka 'alayka, wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr.
When to Read
This is the recommended supplication to recite when a man marries. It should be said to the groom, ideally by an elder or someone respected, upon the occasion of the wedding or when joining the bride and groom on their wedding night. It's a beautiful way to invoke blessings on the new union.
How to Read
Recite this dua sincerely, looking at the groom or both the bride and groom. You can place your hand on the groom's shoulder or head while reciting it. The intention is to call upon Allah to bestow His blessings and goodness upon their marriage.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates a comprehensive wish for the newlyweds. 'Barakallahu laka' asks for Allah's blessing specifically for the groom, 'wa baraka 'alayka' extends those blessings to encompass his life, and 'wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr' prays that their union itself be a source of goodness and prosperity. It's a Sunnah practice, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Source & Authentication
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us to say, when one of you marries, if he were to say: 'Barakallahu laka, wa baraka 'alayka, wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr': 'May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and unite you both in goodness.'
