Virtues & Benefits

This dua seeks several profound blessings: 1. **Patience (Sabr):** This is one of the highest virtues in Islam, earning immense reward from Allah. The Quran states: "Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account." (Az-Zumar 39:10). 2. **Great Reward (Ajr 'Azeem):** Enduring illness with patience is a means of expiation for sins and elevation of rank. The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "No fatigue, nor illness, nor worry, nor sadness, nor any hurt, nor any distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were a thorn, but Allah will expiate some of his sins for it." (Sahih al-Bukhari 5641). 3. **Relief from Pain:** We ask Allah to ease their suffering, acknowledging His power over all things. 4. **Tranquility through Remembrance:** A heart at peace with Allah's decree is a great comfort in difficult times. Allah says: "Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured." (Ar-Ra'd 13:28). 5. **A Beautiful End (Husna):** This encompasses a peaceful passing and a favorable outcome in the Hereafter, a ultimate hope for every believer.
