Uthman bin Abi Al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a pain I felt in my body. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Place your hand on the part of your body where you feel pain and say: Bismillah, a'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru (In the name of Allah. I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear).' He (Uthman) said: I did that, and Allah removed the pain from my body, and I have continued saying it, and I hope for success and benefit.
