بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ. اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ البَأْسَ، اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لاَ شِفَاءَ إِلاَّ شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the suffering, heal (him/her), You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm. Allāhumma Rabban-nās, ad-hibil-ba's, ishfi, Antash-Shāfī, lā shifā'a illā shifā'uka, shifā'an lā yughādiru saqaman.
When to Read
This dua is especially potent when facing the anxieties and physical discomfort that can arise after surgery. It's a direct supplication to Allah, the ultimate Healer, acknowledging His power over our well-being. Recite it when the complications first appear, or as a continuous prayer throughout the recovery period, focusing on the affected areas and the overall healing process.
How to Read
Begin with Bismillah. Place your right hand on the area of pain or complication, or on your chest if it's a general feeling of unease. Recite the dua with sincere intention and conviction, visualizing Allah's healing power encompassing you. It is recommended to repeat it multiple times, perhaps seven, and to breathe gently into the area you are placing your hand.

When the Prophet (ﷺ) visited a sick person or when he (the Prophet ﷺ) was visited by a sick person, he would say: 'O Allah, Lord of mankind! Remove the disease, heal it – for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that does not leave a trace of sickness.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 5750).
