‘Uthman b. Abu al-‘As al-Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he complained to Allah's Messenger ﷺ about a pain he felt in his body from the time he had embraced Islam. Allah's Messenger ﷺ said to him: "Place your hand on the part of your body where you feel pain and say: Bismillah (In the name of Allah) three times and say seven times: A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru (I seek refuge in Allah and in His Power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear)."
