‘Uthman ibn Abi al-‘As (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he complained to Allah’s Messenger ﷺ about a pain he felt in his body from the time he became Muslim. Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said to him: 'Place your hand on the part of your body where you feel pain and say: 'Bismillahi arqeeka min kulli shay'in yu'theeka, min sharri kulli nafsin aw 'aynin hasidatin, Allahu yashfeeka, bismillahi arqeeka' (In the name of Allah, I perform Ruqyah for you, from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye.
