Hisham bin Urwah narrated from his father, from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that when a person complained to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about a pain in his body, he ﷺ would say to him: 'Place your hand where you feel pain, and say: Bismillah (In the name of Allah) three times. Then say seven times: I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I find and I guard against. (A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir).' Another narration adds: 'Allahumma adh-hib 'anni al-adha, shifaa'an la yughadiru saqaman.' (O Allah, remove this harm from me, a healing that leaves no illness behind).
