بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Bismillahilladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem.
When to Read
This powerful supplication is recommended to be recited three times in the morning and three times in the evening. Doing so provides a potent shield against ailments and all forms of harm before they even manifest.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere conviction and complete trust in Allah. It's best recited after Fajr and Asr prayers, or at the start of your day and as you wind down in the evening. Visualize Allah's protection enveloping you as you speak the words.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ informed us that whoever recites this dua in the morning and evening, nothing will harm him. This protection extends to all forms of affliction, including sickness, accidents, and even the whispers of evil. It's a beautiful example of how seeking refuge in Allah's name is the strongest defense we can have.

Narrated by Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says: 'Bismillahilladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem.' (In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.) three times in the morning, will not be afflicted by any calamity until the evening. And whoever says it in the evening, will not be afflicted by any calamity until the morning." — Sunan Abi Dawud 5087, Sunan Ibn Majah 3869. Imam al-Nawawi graded this hadith as Sahih in Al-Adhkar.
