O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female-servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is inevitable, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name You have called Yourself, or revealed to anyone from Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept with You in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my anxiety.
Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitabika, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm al-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.
