Dua for Solace When Feeling Alone During Holidays

Sadness
Hasan HadithMusnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3701

O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servants, and son of Your handmaidens. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective, and Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the abundance of unseen knowledge, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the remover of my sadness, and the banisher of my worries.

Allahumma 'abduka wa-bn 'abdayka wa-bn amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya huku-muka, 'adlun fiyya qadaa'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa lak, sammayta bihi nafsak, aw anzaltahu fi kitabi-ka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqi-ka, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm-il-ghaybi 'inda-ka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa-nura sadri, wa-jala'a huzni, wa-dhahaba hammi.

(There is no one who says this, but Allah will remove his trouble and replace it with what is better.)' (Related by Ahmad and graded Hasan li ghayrihi)
