O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is ever effective. Your judgment over me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or taught to anyone in Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxieties.
Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa lak, sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitabika, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilmil-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'alal-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jala'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.
