Dua for Inner Peace: Finding Solace When Feeling Empty and Sad

Sadness
Hasan HadithMusnad Ahmad 3653

O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any one of Your creation, or which You have kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my worries.

Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibn 'abdika, ibn amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukkumuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw anzaltahu fi kitábika, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm il-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jala'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.
