O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from them.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fuji'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhitik, Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minha.

Virtues & Benefits
This profound dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to a close companion, offers immense protection. It shields us from the reversal of divine favor, the loss of well-being, and the sudden onset of divine punishment. When we witness un-Islamic practices, it's natural to feel a pang of sadness and concern. Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your displeasure." (Sahih Muslim 2739). This dua was specifically taught by the Prophet ﷺ to his companion Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) when he asked him to teach him a supplication to recite in the morning. (Sunan Abi Dawud 5073, Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3502, graded Sahih by Al-Albani). The context of being taught a morning dua highlights its importance in seeking Allah's protection throughout the day, which includes facing the challenges and sights of the world.
