Whether you're starting a new job, moving to a new city, or simply feeling anxious about your provision, reciting this dua can bring immense peace and focus. It's especially beneficial during the day, perhaps after Fajr or Dhuhr, when you need to set your intentions for seeking lawful sustenance.

How to Read

Raise your hands as you do for other supplications, and truly believe that Allah (SWT) is the ultimate provider. Visualizing yourself being content with lawful earnings and free from reliance on others can enhance the impact of the dua. It’s a request for Allah's blessing to guide you towards halal means and make you self-sufficient through His bounty.

Virtues & Benefits

This supplication directly asks Allah for two crucial things: provision that is lawful (halal) and independence from need through His grace. It trains our hearts to seek sustenance from the best source, Allah, and to be content with what He provides, steering us away from haram means and the dependence on creation. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was in debt, highlighting its efficacy in easing financial burdens and securing blessed rizq. Imam At-Tirmidhi graded this hadith as Hasan.
