O Allah, I ask You to provide me with the Hajj of Your Sacred House, and an 'Umrah in the last ten [days of Ramadan], and to make the path of Hajj and 'Umrah easy for me, and to strengthen my body parts for it, and to give me sufficient provision, and to make me independent of creation.

This beautiful dua directly addresses the provision (rizq) needed for Hajj and 'Umrah, encompassing not just financial provision but also the physical ability and ease of journey. It asks for sustenance sufficient for the trip and, importantly, for independence from needing to beg from people, fostering dignity and reliance solely on Allah. Ibn Majah recorded from Abdullah ibn as-Sirriyah that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'Let one of you ask Allah for His bounty. Verily, Allah loves to be asked.' Then he mentioned a similar narration to this dua, wherein it is narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he taught a man to say: 'O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and richness.' (Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 32, Hadith 3830). While the exact wording provided above is attributed to a specific supplication for Hajj and 'Umrah, the principle of asking Allah for His provision and bounty, and for His help in achieving good deeds, is a consistent theme in the Sunnah. The wording for Hajj and 'Umrah is often cited in works discussing the supplications for these journeys.
