اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me by Your grace, so that I may not need anyone other than You.

How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere intention and full reliance on Allah. Ensure you are in a state of purity (wudu) if possible. Raise your hands as you make dua, showing your dependence on the Creator. Believe in the power of Allah's response and remember that lawful earning is a key to acceptance of deeds and dua itself.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua directly asks Allah for two crucial things: sufficiency through lawful means and independence from reliance on creation. It aligns your desires with Allah's pleasure, seeking sustenance that is pure and blessed. This focus on lawful rizq is not just about financial gain, but about spiritual purity and the acceptance of our worship. By asking Allah to suffice us with His lawful provision, we are actively seeking protection from unlawful temptations and shortcuts that could jeopardize our faith and our hereafter. The enrichment through His grace ensures that our prosperity comes from a source that is truly abundant and never-ending.
Source & Authentication
The hadith narrative states that Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) told the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that he was finding it difficult to repay his debts. The Prophet (peace be upon him) then taught him this dua, advising him to recite it regularly. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If you say this dua, Allah will help you to repay your debts, even if they were as large as the entire Mount of Serendib.' (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3563). While this hadith is specifically about debt, its principle extends beautifully to seeking lawful provision and prosperity in business.
