When to Read

This powerful dua is perfect to recite when embarking on a new business venture, entering into a significant contract, or facing a challenging negotiation. It's also beneficial to make it a habit to recite this at the beginning of your day, especially if your work involves such transactions, to invite Allah's blessings and guidance into your professional life.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction. Raise your hands slightly, as is customary for supplication. Focus on the meaning, acknowledging that true success and ease in all dealings comes only from Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala). It's best to say it before the transaction or deal begins, and also as a general supplication during your daily prayers or at other suitable times.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive dua encompasses the three essential pillars for success in this life and the next, especially in worldly dealings. Asking for 'beneficial knowledge' guides you to make wise decisions and understand the intricacies of the transaction. 'Good provision' seeks lawful and abundant sustenance derived from these dealings. Finally, asking for 'accepted deeds' ensures that your efforts are pleasing to Allah, leading to barakah (blessing) and ease, not just in this world but also in the hereafter. This combination helps in navigating complexities, avoiding pitfalls, and ensuring the outcome is blessed.

Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) would finish his morning prayer, he would say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.' (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.)
