Rizq & Provision
Hasan HadithSunan At-Tirmidhi 3563

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I may not need anyone besides You.

Allahummakfini bihalalika 'an haramika, wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwaka.

When to Read

This is a powerful supplication to recite when you are seeking lawful means to earn a living, when you feel the pinch of financial hardship, or simply as a regular habit to ensure your provision remains pure and sufficient. It's particularly effective when you feel overwhelmed by financial goals or pressures, asking Allah to make the path easy and permissible.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, with your hands raised as is customary for supplication. Understand that you are asking the Creator of all wealth and resources to grant you what is permissible and to make you independent of anyone else. Reflect on the meaning as you say it, internalizing the trust you are placing in Allah's plan.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua directly asks Allah to grant lawful sustenance, which is a blessing in itself. It also seeks independence from creation, fostering contentment and reliance solely on the Creator. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to his cousin, Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), when he advised him on how to pay off his debts, indicating its efficacy in overcoming financial difficulties and achieving provision.
