Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.

When to Read

This dua is perfect to recite in the morning, after Fajr prayer, as it encompasses asking Allah for the best of this life and the next. You can also make it a habit to say it anytime you feel a need for guidance in seeking provision, especially when you are looking for new opportunities or facing financial challenges. It's a comprehensive request that sets a positive tone for your day and your pursuit of lawful income.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, believing that Allah is the ultimate provider. It's best to raise your hands slightly while reciting, as is the etiquette of dua. Focus on the meaning of each word: asking for knowledge that benefits you, wealth that is pure and lawful, and deeds that are accepted by Allah. Maintain a state of purity (wudu) if possible, and face the Qiblah.

Virtues & Benefits

This powerful dua, taught by our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, is a concise yet comprehensive supplication. By asking for 'beneficial knowledge,' we seek wisdom to make sound decisions in our endeavors. Requesting 'pure provision' (rizqan tayyiban) guides us towards lawful and blessed earnings, shielding us from haram. Finally, asking for 'acceptable deeds' ensures our efforts are recognized and rewarded by Allah. This holistic request can open doors to opportunities we may not have even considered, as Allah blesses those who seek Him and His guidance in all aspects of their lives, including their livelihood.
