Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 735

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.

When to Read

This dua is particularly potent when recited after Fajr prayer, as recommended by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It's also fitting to say it whenever you begin managing your affairs, especially those related to your wealth, seeking Allah's guidance for sound decisions that benefit your worldly life and, more importantly, your Hereafter.

How to Read

Recite this comprehensive dua with sincerity and focus, understanding that true wealth lies not just in accumulation, but in its wise and righteous utilization. Raise your hands as you would in other supplications, with a heart full of hope and reliance on Allah. Reflect on the meaning of each part: beneficial knowledge to guide your actions, pure provision to sustain you, and accepted deeds as your ultimate investment.

Virtues & Benefits

This powerful supplication encapsulates seeking the best in both this life and the next. Beneficial knowledge helps us discern right from wrong, especially concerning our wealth. Pure provision ensures that our earnings are lawful and blessed, preventing ill-gotten gains from becoming a source of harm. Accepted deeds are our true capital for the Hereafter, and asking for them ensures that our efforts in managing wealth align with Allah's pleasure and lead to eternal reward. It's a holistic request that covers the spiritual and material aspects of a successful life, grounded in seeking Allah's help.
