اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.
When to Read
This is a powerful dua the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would recite after the Fajr (dawn) prayer. It's a beautiful way to start your day, asking Allah for the tools – knowledge, provision, and acceptance of your efforts – to engage in meaningful and blessed work throughout the day.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction after the Fajr prayer. Raise your hands as you normally would for dua. Believe that Allah, the Giver of all provisions, will grant you what you ask for, provided you also put in the effort and strive lawfully. It is also beneficial to reflect on the meaning of each part of the dua: asking for knowledge that benefits you, provision that is pure and lawful, and deeds that are accepted by Allah.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses seeking the best in this life and the hereafter. Beneficial knowledge guides us to do good and avoid evil. Pure provision is a blessing that allows for worship without the burden of unlawful earnings. Accepted deeds are those done for Allah's sake and in accordance with His commands, leading to reward in this life and the next. By asking for these three things together, we are seeking a holistic blessing in our endeavors.
