Allahummakfini bihalalika 'an haramika wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwak
When to Read
This powerful dua is excellent to recite daily, especially after your obligatory prayers (Salah). It's also fitting to say it when you feel a need for provision, or when embarking on new ventures that require sustenance. Making it a habit ensures you're consistently seeking Allah's blessing for yourself and your dependents.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, focusing on Allah's ability to provide. It’s best recited after completing your prayers, raising your hands in supplication. Ensure you understand the meaning and internalize the plea for lawful sustenance and independence from need, acknowledging that all provision comes from Allah alone. Making dua for your family's rizq is a beautiful act of responsibility and love.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses two crucial aspects of seeking rizq: avoiding haram (unlawful) means and seeking Allah’s sufficiency. By asking Allah to suffice us with lawful provision, we are shielded from the temptations and consequences of seeking wealth through impermissible ways. The second part, asking for enrichment through Allah's grace, instills contentment and reliance solely on the Creator, preventing reliance on creation which can lead to disappointment. Seeking lawful rizq is essential for accepted deeds and a pure life for oneself and the family.

Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man who had a contract (for freeing himself) came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'I am unable to pay the installments, so help me.' He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: 'Shall I not teach you words that you can say to Allah? If you say them, Allah would give you Mount Uhud in the way of provisions, and that would be sufficient for you, whether it is the contract for freeing yourself or your debt.' Then he said: 'O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I shall not need need anyone other than You.'
