اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provisions, and accepted deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.
When to Read
This is a powerful dua the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would recite every morning after Fajr prayer. It's perfect for starting your day with a focus on spiritual and material well-being that is pleasing to Allah, rather than seeking wealth that might lead us astray.
How to Read
Recite this dua sincerely after the Fajr prayer. Raise your hands as you would in supplication, focusing on the meaning of each word. Ask Allah for knowledge that benefits you and others, sustenance that is lawful and pure, and deeds that He accepts from you. It's about seeking a balanced life, pleasing Him in all aspects.
Virtues & Benefits
This supplication seeks three crucial elements for a balanced and righteous life: beneficial knowledge, which guides us and protects us from ignorance; pure sustenance, which ensures our worship is accepted and our bodies are nourished with that which is lawful; and accepted deeds, the ultimate goal of our striving. By asking for these, we inherently ask for abundance that does not lead to arrogance, greed, or heedlessness, but rather to increased obedience and closeness to Allah.

It was narrated from Tufayl bin Ubayd that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'The supplication of the person who says: Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provisions, and accepted deeds) – when he finishes his Fajr prayer, is accepted.'
