O Allah, I ask You for faith that fills my heart, and true certainty, so that I know that nothing will afflict me except what You have decreed for me, and contentment with what You have portioned out for me. And make the Great Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sorrow, and the banisher of my worries.
Allahumma inni as'aluka imanan yubashiru qalbi, wa yaqinan sadiqan, wa hatta a'lama annahu la yusibuni illa ma katabt li, wa ridan bima qasamt li, waj'alil-Qur'anal-'adheema rabee'a qalbi, wa noora sadri, wa jala'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi

Ahmad reported: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to teach his companions to seek refuge in Allah from four things, saying: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka al-'afwa wal-'afiyah fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'aluka al-'afwa wal-'afiyah fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Allahumma-hfadni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi, wa 'an yamini wa 'an shimālī, wa min fawqī, wa a'udhu bi 'adamatika an ughtala min tahti.' (O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and secure me from things that frighten me. O Allah, protect me from in front of me and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your magnificence lest I be consumed from beneath me.) He also taught them this dua: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka imanan yubashiru qalbi, wa yaqinan sadiqan, wa hatta a'lama annahu la yusibuni illa ma katabt li, wa ridan bima qasamt li, waj'alil-Qur'anal-'adheema rabee'a qalbi, wa noora sadri, wa jala'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.' (O Allah, I ask You for faith that fills my heart, and true certainty, so that I know that nothing will afflict me except what You have decreed for me, and contentment with what You have portioned out for me. And make the Great Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sorrow, and the banisher of my worries.)
