I (the narrator) asked Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her): 'O Mother of the Believers, what was the supplication most frequently made by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was with you?' She said: 'The supplication most frequently made by him was: "O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm on Your religion." She said: 'He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: 'O Umm Salama, it is because there is no person who is not between two fingers out of the fingers of the Most Merciful. He turns them (hearts) how He wills.'
