How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a focused heart. Raising your hands is a sign of supplication and humility before Allah. Believe that Allah will grant you what you ask for, and strive to implement the knowledge you gain in your life. It's best recited in the morning, as the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ often did, seeking Allah's guidance for the day ahead.
Virtues & Benefits
Seeking beneficial knowledge is a highly virtuous act in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself made this dua regularly. Beneficial knowledge is that which leads to righteous actions, strengthens faith, and enables one to worship Allah correctly and contribute positively to society. It is a means of elevation in this life and the Hereafter, as Allah raises the ranks of those who possess knowledge and act upon it (Al-Mujadalah 58:11).
