Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught them this supplication for the child, just as he taught them a supplication for sleep: 'Allahumma Bismika Ahya wa Bismika Amuut' (O Allah, with Your Name I live and with Your Name I die). And he taught them this supplication for the child: 'Allahumma barik lahu fi 'aqlihi wa kitabihi wa khawatimi 'amalihi' (O Allah, bless him in his intellect, his knowledge, and the outcome of his deeds).
