Seeking Strength After Stumbling: Dua for Patience and Resilience

Patience & Sabr
Hasan HadithMusnad Ahmad 2675

O Allah, indeed I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment against me is inevitable. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or that You have taught to any of Your creation, or that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You have retained in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, and a remover of my sorrow, and a banisher of my anxiety.

Allahumma inni 'abduk, ibnu 'abdik, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuk, 'adlun fiyya qada'uk, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsak, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqik, aw anzaltahu fi kitabik, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilmil-ghaybi 'indak, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.
