O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, grant him well-being and pardon him, honor his reception, make his grave spacious, cleanse him with water, snow, and hail. Purify him from sins just as a white garment is purified from dirt. Replace his home with a better home, his family with a better family, and his spouse with a better spouse. Admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.

Narrated Awf ibn Malik: I prayed the funeral prayer with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). I memorized from him these words as he was praying, saying: "O Allah, forgive him, have mercy upon him, keep him safe, thou should pardon him, make his lodging honourable, give ample space at the entrance, cleanse him with water, snow and hail, and cleanse him from sins as thou hast cleansed the white garment from the filth. And give him a house better than his house, and a family better than his family, and grant him entrance into the Garden, and protect him from the trial of the grave and from the punishment of the Fire." Awf ibn Malik said: "O Allah, forgive him, have mercy upon him, keep him safe, thou should pardon him, make his lodging honourable, give ample space at the entrance, cleanse him with water, snow and hail, and cleanse him from sins as thou hast cleansed the white garment from the filth. And give him a house better than his house, and a family better than his family, and grant him entrance into the Garden, and protect him from the trial of the grave and from the punishment of the Fire." (The narrator Aws ibn Shurahbil said: 'O Messenger of Allah, forgive him, have mercy upon him, keep him safe, thou should pardon him, make his lodging honourable, give ample space at the entrance, cleanse him with water, snow and hail, and cleanse him from sins as thou hast cleansed the white garment from the filth. And give him a house better than his house, and a family better than his family, and grant him entrance into the Garden, and protect him from the trial of the grave and from the punishment of the Fire.')
