O Allah, forgive my mistakes and my ignorance, and my extravagance in my affairs, and whatever You know best about me. O Allah, forgive me for my jest and my earnestness, my mistakes and my deliberate acts, my resolve and my jest, and all of that is with me. O Allah, forgive me for what I have sent forth and what I have delayed, and what I have concealed and what I have proclaimed, and whatever You know best about me. You are the One Who sends forth and You are the One Who delays, and You have power over all things.

Allahumma-ghfir li ma qaddamtu wa ma akhkhartu, wa ma asrartu wa ma a'lantu, wa ma anta a'lamu bihi minni. Antal-muqaddimu wa antal-mu'akhkhiru, wa anta 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer.

Al-Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me something I may ask of Allah.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'O Allah, forgive me my mistakes and my ignorance, and my extravagance in my affairs, and whatever You know best about me. You are the One Who sends forth and You are the One Who delays, and You have power over all things.' So I asked Him for ten things, and he said to me: 'O my uncle, you should supplicate Allah with this dua every day, and then ask Him for what you wish.' Al-Abbas said: 'So I asked Him for it and I supplicated Allah with it every day, and I asked Allah for my needs.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 6306)
