اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ.

O Allah, I ask You for its (the wife's/marriage's) goodness and the goodness of what You have created it with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what You have created it with.

Allahumma inni as'aluka khairaha wa khaira ma jabaltaha 'alaih, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma jabaltaha 'alaih.

When to Read

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When any of you marries a woman, let him take her by the forelock and seek a blessing for himself (by reciting): Allahumma inni as'aluka khairaha wa khaira ma jabaltaha 'alaih, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma jabaltaha 'alaih.
