This dua directly invokes Allah's power to mend the bonds of marriage. Source & Authentication

Narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, said: 'I am Allah, and I am the Most Merciful. I created the bond of kinship and I shall maintain the ties with those who maintain it, and I shall sever the ties with those who sever it.' Then he recited: 'Would you then, if you were given charge of the earth, cause corruption in it and sever your ties of kinship? Such are those whom Allah has cursed, and deafened them and blinded their sight.' [Quran 47:22]. And he said: 'This is because of the kinship.'
