Seeking Allah's Aid in Overcoming Obstacles Through Tahajjud

Night Worship & Tahajjud
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 2713

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Magnificent Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, the Cleaver of the grain and the date-stone, the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion (Quran). I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature that You are seizing by its forelock. You are the First, and nothing is before You. You are the Last, and nothing is after You. You are the Most Exalted, and nothing is above You. You are the Most Hidden, and nothing is closer than You. Relieve me of my debt and enrich me from poverty.

Allahumma Rabba as-samawati as-sab'i wa Rabba al-'arshil-'adheem, Rabbana wa Rabba kulli shay', Faliqal-habbi wan-nawa, wa Munzil at-Tawrati wal-Injili wal-Furqan, a'udhu bika min sharri kulli dabbatin anta akhidhun binasiyatiha, Antal-Awwalu falaysa qablaka shay', wal-Antal-Akhiru falaysa ba'daka shay', wal-Anta Adh-Dhāhiru falaysa fawqaka shay', wal-Antal-Bāṭinu falaysa dūnika shay', iqdi 'anni dayna wa aghnini minal-faqr.

Source & Authentication

‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I complained to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the debt which I owed, and he said: 'O 'Ali, say: 'O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Magnificent Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, the Cleaver of the grain and the date-stone, the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion (Quran). I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature that You are seizing by its forelock. You are the First, and nothing is before You. You are the Last, and nothing is after You. You are the Most Exalted, and nothing is above You. You are the Most Hidden, and nothing is closer than You. Relieve me of my debt and enrich me from poverty.' ‘Ali said: 'I did this, and Allah (the Almighty, the Glorious) caused it to be paid off. Indeed, there was no dirham left and no dinar.'
