O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, and from the evil of my sight, and from the evil of my tongue, and from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my sexual organ.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri sam'i, wa min sharri basari, wa min sharri lisani, wa min sharri qalbi, wa min sharri maniyyi

Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, seeks refuge from the internal and external harms that can afflict us through our own faculties. By seeking protection from the 'evil of my hearing' and 'evil of my sight,' we are specifically asking Allah to guard us against the temptations that social media often presents – the inappropriate content, the idle chatter, the envy-inducing comparisons. Protecting the 'evil of my tongue' and 'evil of my heart' guards against gossip, backbiting, and harboring ill feelings, which can also be triggered by online interactions. This ultimately helps maintain the purity of intention and focus required for sincere worship during Tahajjud, ensuring our night prayers are truly for Allah alone.
