اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنَا وَاكْفِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

O Allah, bless us in what You have provided us, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.

Allahumma barik lana feema razaqtana wakfina 'adhaban-nar

When to Read

Recite this dua at the beginning of any new endeavor, especially when starting a healthy eating plan or diet. It's a way to seek Allah's blessing and guidance for the journey ahead, asking Him to make the sustenance He provides beneficial and to protect you from heedlessness that could lead you astray.

How to Read

Recite with sincerity and full conviction. Place your hand on your stomach (if comfortable) or hold your hands in supplication. Understand that true change and benefit comes from Allah. This dua is often recited after meals, but its essence of seeking barakah (blessing) makes it perfect for the commencement of any significant new habit, including dietary changes.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would say: "Allahumma barik lana feema razaqtana wakfina 'adhaban-nar." (O Allah, bless us in what You have provided us, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.)
