It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'When a person goes out of his house saying: ‘Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah’ (In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it will be said to him: ‘You have been sufficed and protected, and the devil will stay away from you.’ – Sunan Abi Dawud 5095. Another narration states: 'When a servant says Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah, it is said to him: 'Sufficient for you is Allah, you have been guided, you have been defended, and the devil has been driven away from you.'
