Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua as a means of protection against all forms of evil, including the potent influence of the evil eye. The 'perfect words of Allah' encompass His divine decree, His names and attributes, and His commands, all of which are free from any flaw or imperfection. Seeking refuge in them means acknowledging Allah's ultimate power over all creation and attributing any perceived harm to His will, while simultaneously seeking His direct intervention for safety. This dua is a fundamental part of the Sunnah for daily protection.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Satan gets worried concerning his brethren as you (humans) are worried for yourselves. He calls out to them ten times in a day. He says: "Do you see him?" and the devils say: "Yes." He asks: "Do you see him?" and they say: "Yes." And he asks: "Do you see him?" and they say: "Yes." He asks: "What is it like?" They say: "It is like a jar filled with water and a stone at its bottom." Satan says: "He is a Muslim, if he is pleased with Allah, then let him be pleased, and if he is displeased with Allah, then let him be displeased." And then he (Satan) says: "I have seventy thousand brethren and I have a Satan whose name is Hinn, and he (Satan) has seventy thousand brethren, and he has a Satan whose name is Rukk, and he (Satan) has seventy thousand brethren. So you should say: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.'" This is a protection for you from the evil of all creatures. And if you die, you will not have committed any sin.
