بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذَا الأَمْرِ وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيهِ وَخَيْرَ مَا جُبِلَ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا الأَمْرِ وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهِ وَشَرِّ مَا جُبِلَ عَلَيْهِ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الرِّزْقَ الحَلالَ الطَّيِّبَ.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this matter (retirement) and the goodness of what is in it and the goodness of what it was created with. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this matter and the evil of what is in it and the evil of what it was created with. O Allah, I ask You for lawful and good provision.
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Allahumma inni as'aluka khaira hadhal-amri wa khaira ma fihi wa khaira ma jubila 'alayhi, wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadhal-amri wa sharri ma fihi wa sharri ma jubila 'alayhi. Allahumma inni as'alukal-rizqal-halala-tayyiba.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught this dua for seeking the best in any undertaking. It is narrated that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) wanted to undertake a matter, he would seek the good of it and refuge from its evil. In another narration, when he intended to marry a woman, he would hold her by the hand and teach him this same dua. (Sunan Abi Dawud 2084, 2150)
