The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'When a person goes out of his house and says: Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it is said to him: 'You are guided, defended and your need is met.' He also said: 'One of the devils leaves him after that.' (Reported by Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi, who said it is Hasan Sahih)
