Virtues & Benefits

Seeking Allah's comprehensive forgiveness is the cornerstone of any fresh start. When we sincerely turn to Allah for pardon, He purifies our hearts, making us more receptive to reconciliation and better equipped to approach others with humility and a desire for peace. This dua encompasses all types of sins, signifying a complete turning back to Allah, which in turn prepares us to rebuild and heal our relationships. It fosters inner peace, enabling us to extend that peace to our interactions with others, as taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, 'The best of you is he who is best to his family.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 5827).

The hadith is part of a longer narration where the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught his companions comprehensive supplications. The specific line is a powerful plea for complete forgiveness, which is foundational for seeking peace and renewal in all aspects of life, including our relationships. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to be meticulous in seeking forgiveness, 'O people, turn to Allah in repentance, for I turn to Him a hundred times a day.' (Sahih Muslim 2702).
