Virtues & Benefits
This dua encompasses a holistic approach to seeking goodness in this life and the hereafter. Beneficial knowledge allows us to navigate life's challenges with wisdom and to worship Allah correctly. Goodly provision ensures that our sustenance is pure, free from unlawful means, and brings blessings. Acceptable deeds are those performed sincerely for Allah's sake, in accordance with the Sunnah, and which weigh heavily on our scales on the Day of Judgment. By asking for these three things, we are essentially asking for Allah's comprehensive support in rebuilding our lives and continuing our journey of faith, even after experiencing hardship. It turns our focus from what we've lost to what we can still gain and achieve through Allah's grace.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, 'When morning comes, say: O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds. If you say this in the day and die on that day, you will have gained goodness. And when evening comes, say: O Allah, I ask You for health in my body, and another like it. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and health, the two blessings that, if you have them, will not harm you. O Allah, I ask You for sustenance and the ability to maintain it. O Allah, I ask You for the enjoyment of Your blessings, their continuation, and their preservation, and a means of escaping them.'
