In the name of Allah. O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this day, its opening, its victory, its light, its blessings, and its guidance. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what comes after it.

Bismillahi, Allahumma inni as'aluka khaira hadhal yawm, fat-hahu wa nasrahu wa noorahu wa barakatahu wa hudaahu. Wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadhal yawm wa sharri ma ba'dahu.

Source & Authentication

The narrator said: Al-Husayn ibn al-Husayn informed us, from Hizam ibn Hakeem, from Hammaad ibn Salamah, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: If one of you says when he wakes up: 'Bismillahi, Allahumma inni as'aluka khaira hadhal yawm, fat-hahu wa nasrahu wa noorahu wa barakatahu wa hudaahu. Wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadhal yawm wa sharri ma ba'dahu.' (In the name of Allah. O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this day, its opening, its victory, its light, its blessings, and its guidance. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what comes after it.) – then that day's appointed angel says: The day has been blessed for you, and Allah has accepted your invocation, so tell your companion good news, for he has been saved from the evil of that day and the evil of what comes after it. The narrator said: Hammaad said: In the morning and in the evening.
