O Allah, I have entered this morning bearing witness to You, and bearing witness to the carriers of Your Throne, Your angels, and all of Your creation, that You are Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except You, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger. O Allah, I ask You for the sweetness of Your remembrance, the longing to meet You, security on the day I meet You, the longing to see You, contentment from Your creation, shyness before You, reliance upon You, the strength to obey You, longing for Your Paradise, longing for Your pleasure, and security from Your punishment. And that You make my heart content with Your remembrance, and that You love me and make me beloved to Your creation, and make me among those who are content without asking from Your creation, and that You protect me from the hardship of trials, and from the evil of what You have decreed, and from the evil of what I have declared, and from the evil of what I have concealed, and from the evil of what I have revealed, and from the evil of what I have concealed. O Allah, when you wake up in the morning, say: 'We have entered this morning and all sovereignty belongs to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without partner. O Allah, I ask You for the best of this day: its conquest, its help, its light, its blessing, and its guidance. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that comes after it. My Lord, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.'

When to Read
This comprehensive dua is recommended to be recited immediately after waking up in the morning, before starting the day's activities. It sets a positive and God-conscious tone, preparing your heart to seek Allah's help and guidance throughout the day.
How to Read
Recite with sincerity and presence of heart. Utter each word thoughtfully, reflecting on its meaning. Face the Qiblah if possible, and raise your hands slightly as you make the supplication. It's best recited on its own in a quiet place, allowing for full concentration.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting this dua equips you with a powerful spiritual toolkit for the day. It fosters a sense of humility and reliance on Allah, seeking His blessings and protection. By asking for 'contentment from Your creation,' it cultivates a spirit of inner peace and discourages envy or dissatisfaction, which are fertile ground for holding grudges. It also actively seeks refuge from evil and asks for beneficial deeds, setting a trajectory for a righteous day. Cultivating this outward focus on Allah and inward focus on His blessings helps in naturally developing a forgiving heart, as our own shortcomings and reliance on Allah become more apparent.
Source & Authentication
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever says in the morning: {Allahumma inni asbahtu ushiduka wa ushidu hamalata 'arshika wa mala'ikatika wa jami'a khalqika annaka antallah la ilaha illa anta wahdaka la sharika lak wa anna Muhammadan 'abdunka wa rasuluk} (O Allah, I have entered this morning bearing witness to You, and bearing witness to the carriers of Your Throne, Your angels, and all of Your creation, that You are Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except You, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger.) – Allah will free one-fourth of him from the Fire. Whoever says it twice, Allah will free one-half of him. Whoever says it thrice, Allah will free three-fourths of him. Whoever says it four times, Allah will free him from the Fire.' (Related by Abu Dawud with a Hasan chain). He also said: 'Whoever says in the morning: {Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillah wal-hamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Rabbi as'aluka khayra ma fi hadhal-yawmi wa khayra ma ba'dah, wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadhal-yawmi wa sharri ma ba'dah. Rabbi a'udhu bika minal-kasali wa su'il-kibari, Rabbi a'udhu bika min 'adhabin fin-nari wa 'adhabin fil-qabri.} (We have entered this morning and all sovereignty belongs to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without partner. To Allah belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He is Able to do all things. O Allah, I ask You for the best of this day and the best of what comes after it. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that comes after it. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.)' (Related by Muslim). This dua combines the essence of seeking Allah's favor and protection with a comprehensive request for the day's well-being.
