اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.
When to Read
This beautiful supplication is recommended to be recited right after the Fajr (dawn) prayer, as part of your morning routine. It sets a positive and God-conscious tone for the entire day, asking for blessings in knowledge, sustenance, and actions.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction. Raise your hands slightly, as the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would often do when making dua. Focus on the meaning of each word, internalizing the request for beneficial knowledge that guides you, pure sustenance that nourishes you, and deeds that are accepted by our Creator. Reflect on how these three elements are foundational to a life pleasing to Allah, fostering love for Him through growth, provision, and devotion.
Virtues & Benefits
This supplication encompasses seeking what is essential for a fulfilling life in this world and the hereafter. * **Beneficial Knowledge ('ilman naafi'an):** Knowledge that leads you closer to Allah, helps you understand His commands, and guides you to do good. It's knowledge that benefits the self and others. * **Good Provision (rizqan tayyiban):** Seeking sustenance that is lawful, pure, and blessed. This isn't just about wealth, but also health, family, and opportunities that are pleasing to Allah. * **Acceptable Deeds ('amalan mutaqabbalan):** Asking that our efforts in worship and good deeds are acknowledged and accepted by Allah. This is the ultimate goal – to act in ways that earn His pleasure. By asking for these three things, we are essentially asking for the tools and acceptance to live a life that is centered around loving and obeying Allah, which in turn deepens our connection and love for Him.
